Whit Colvin

Whit Colvin regularly consults with clients in complex, specialized areas – land use, desegregation, federal regulatory and statutory law (such as the Fair Labor Standards Act), education finance issues, No Child Left Behind Act, and related areas. He has represented the State of Alabama in its efforts to satisfy its statewide desegregation obligations and local boards in similar efforts, as well as the University of Montevallo in its higher education desegregation case. He works regularly with clients on land development opportunities, zoning, overtime issues, regulatory and statutory compliance, and other matters in the public sector. He is frequently engaged by professional groups and boards of education to speak on topics of interest to educational professionals and board members.
